Pipe Line Protection

Whether you require quick SOLAS compliance on a tight budget or a long term solution offering highest safety standards, Allison Engineering offer a range of products, all of which are Type approved.

Safety Shields:
Manufactured from Multi-layered Teflon coated fibreglass, these shields are supplied to exactly cover fittings and joints (including flanges, valves, tees's, and couplings). They wrap round the fitting and provide an overlap thus preventing direct and lateral spray-outs, reducing them to a controlled drip The design is such that the shield itself cannot create a spray-out since it does not form a seal over the joint. Furthermore, it is reusable in event of maintenance or a leak (or even a fire) and can therefore be used as a long term solution. This product is ideal where pipe joint information can easily be acquired. It is 100% fire resistant and re-usable, thus offering long term protection, often for the life of the vessel. We simply require joint type and pipe size (eg, 150lb flange,2" pipeline) in order to provide prices. If this information is not readily available, download our survey sheet below. Navy Roll - TYPE Approved:
Designed to work in the same way as above, but supplied in 10m rolls. The shield is simply cut to the desired length with steel wire then threaded through loops which run the length of the shield. The shield then wraps around the joint and is secured as per the TFE Spray-Guard. This product is ideal where pipe joint details and sizes are not known. The roll can be supplied in various widths from 2" to 12", depending on the pipe and joint size. Available next-day from stock. Like the TFE Spray-Guard, the Navy Roll is re-usable. It can easily be removed for maintenance of the pipe or joint or indeed in the event of a leak - then re installed using only a pair of pliers. Download: Data/Pricing Sheet
NoSpray Tape - TYPE Approved:
Offers quick and convenient compliance without the need to refer to any pipe, flange or joint measurements. Simply apply this adhesive tape which is supplied in 10 metre roll, available in widths from 35mm to 1000mm. The tape can also be used for lengths of pipe which run over or near hot surfaces. Available from our stock, this product can be despatched for next-day delivery. Download: Data/Pricing Sheet
