Our wide range of process control instrumentation offers ideal solutions to applications in a variety of industries,
Hydrogen mass flow
Modern power station installations regularly use Hydrogen gas, with its excellent thermal conductivity properties, as a coolant for the alternators. In normal operation additional, albeit very small, quantities for Hydrogen are required to replace the gas lost through the scavenging system. The flow meters need to be able to measure this flow as well as the much higher flow rates used to fill the generator casing after down time.
Flare Gas flow measurement
The accurate measurement of flare gas is becoming increasing important to operators as they are often required to report total emissions and total mass of carbon released to atmosphere.
Combustion air flow
Balancing the combustion air and fuel gas flow into industrial boilers, fired heaters & burners is essential in order to maintain efficiency and operate safely. The ST series thermal mass flow meters are widely used for both applications.
Pump protection - Prevent Dry Running
Nothing will damage a pump quicker than overheating due to dry running. The liquid acts as a coolant & without it the seals & bearings can easily be damaged which leads to expensive repairs & production down time. The FLT93 flow switch solves the problem !
Biogas flow
The ST series thermal mass flow meters have no moving parts and are ATEX certified. They are ideally suited to measuring the flow rate of dirty, saturated biogas at minimal operating pressures.
Analyser / Sample flow monitoring
The advanced Model FS10A Analyser Flow Switch/Monitor represents the best-in-class, solution for continuously verifying flows within liquid or gas process analyser sampling systems.
Chemical injection - flow monitoring
Offshore chemical injection systems are characterised by low flows, often at high pressure. The FLT93L is perfectly suited and capable of operating up to 800 BarG.
Compressed air
Air compressors can be extremely costly to run and can represent a significant operating cost. In order to implement a strategy to reduce leaks and cut losses, a thermal flow meter will calculate a baseline usage figure which can then be used to evaluate future efforts to reduce leakage.
Nitrogen Blanketing / Solvent Recovery
Nitrogen blanketing & vapour recovery are two techniques used to prevent the accumulation of potentially flammable volatile vapours within storage vessels and their subsequent loss to atmosphere. Thermal mass flow meters can improve plant efficiency by optimising the amount of nitrogen used.
